“When will you stop being a thug?” – Dele Momodu slams Fani-Kayode

Dele Momodu, a publisher and former presidential aspirant has accused the newly posted Nigerian Ambassador to Germany, Femi Fani-Kayode of being a thug.

In a post made on X on Thursday, Momodu described the ambassador as a querulous, garrulous and cantankerous son of the late David Oluwafemi Adewunmi Abdulateef Fani-Kayode.

Titled, Femi Fani-Kayode: When will you stop being a thug?” the post by Momodu said the former minister is a “classic case of wasted investment”.

According to the publisher, Fani-Kayode attended some of the best schools that pedigree or money could purchase, but turned out to be an outright and incurable thug.

Recall that Fani-Kayode had previously defended President Bola Tinubu’s administration after Momodu’s interview where he likened the current government to that of the late military head of state, Sani Abacha.

The former aviation minister who described Momodu’s remarks as“misguided” and “uncharitable” argued that the increased support for the ruling party is a reflection of public confidence in the direction taken by Tinubu’s government.

Fani-Kayode also said that the present administration started on a good footing and that he is optimistic about its trajectory.

However, reacting to the ambassador’s comments, Momodu said despite his level of education, FFK has become an enfant

terrible, fighting anyone and anything, including esoteric spirits, in sight.

He added that all supplications and intercession by friends and family on his behalf have failed to cure his strange malady.

“And this is the man President Bola Tinubu is about to unleash on Germany as an Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for God’s sake.

“For Femi, it is a fulfilment of a long-expected appointment. We discussed it several times. And I encouraged him to be patient and prayerful. I felt his deep frustration and depression,” Momodu said.

He further claimed that FFK had already initiated his alternative plan after it seemed like he was never going to make it into the cabinet of President Tinubu.

He said, “He was already working on Plan B, and begging a few of us to help him reach out to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (GCON), if all hopes evaporate. Femi without power is like a fish out of water.

“It is such a pity that now that Tinubu has finally looked at his side, with mercy and compassion, he is still busy fighting, like a pig, instead of seeking urgent rehabilitation into the comity of sane human beings,” Momodu added.
