Abure, Labour Party stakeholders commend Ngogbehie’s role in Obidient movement

Barr. Julius Abure, national chairman of the Labour Party, and other party stakeholders have commended Marcel Ngogbehie for his role in the Obidient Movement and grassroots mobilisation within the party.
The commendations came as Ngogbehie, director-general of the party’s directorate of mobilisation and integration (DMI), marked his birthday.
Party members, governance advocates, and diaspora supporters praised his contribution to citizen engagement and political mobilisation.
Vera Daniel, director of the Good Governance Institute, described Ngogbehie as a leader of “vision, integrity, and unwavering dedication”.
Daniel said his strategic direction and collaborative leadership have strengthened the mandate of the directorate.
She added that his passion for service continues to inspire colleagues and set a standard for excellence.
The Imo state directorate of mobilisation and integration also lauded Ngogbehie’s leadership.
In a statement signed by Ladykay Iwunze, coordinator of the directorate in Imo, the group said his leadership has helped unite members and strengthen internal party structures.
“Your leadership has been a guiding light, uniting people, strengthening structures, and advancing the noble ideals of citizen participation in governance, mobilisation and integration,” the statement reads.
Members of the Labour Party diaspora community also described Ngogbehie as a “political decider” with the ability to mobilise voters across different demographics.
Ngogbehie is a founding member of the Obidient Movement and played a role in grassroots mobilisation during the 2023 general election.
Abure described him as a dependable ally who worked closely with the party leadership, campaign organisation, and support groups.
He also noted Ngogbehie’s role in coordinating the party’s first leadership summit held in 2022 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Ngogbehie currently serves as director-general of the DMI at the party’s national headquarters.
