Security Expert Reveals Why Some Western Nations Allegedly Equip Terrorists in Nigeria

A security expert, Salihu Dantata, has alleged that some Western nations are equipping bandits to gain access to illegal mining activities in Nigeria.

Dantata made the claim on Friday while speaking during an interview on Arise Television.

He questioned how members of Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) and Boko Haram are able to handle sophisticated rifles associated with Israeli elite forces.

The security expert further alleged that, on several occasions in Zamfara State, helicopters had been seen delivering arms to bandits and collecting gold in return.

“We can no longer hide the facts that some of the unscrupulous Western nations are involved in illegal gold mines in Nigeria and illegal tapping of our resources.

“Therefore, for them to have accessibility to this site, they equip some of these bandits and insurgents in some of these states that we are currently battling with insurgency.

“If not, how can ISWAP member or Boko Haram train for one week and know how to handle rifle used by Israeli elite force? That itself exposes the conspiracy.

“A particular super country had predicted that by 2015 Nigeria was going to split. That never came to be,” he said.
