JUST IN: Ganduje’s former aide Yakasai dumps APC for ADC

Salihu Yakassai,former Director-General of Media and Communications to Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Yakassai made the announcement on his page on X, @dawisu on Monday, March 23.

According to Yakassai, he has resolved to join the coalition party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Noting that he has completed his registration with the ADC, Yakassai said his decision to join the coalition party stems from extensive consultations with his family, friends and political allies.

“Following extensive consultations with family, friends, and political associates we have worked closely with over time, we have resolved to move to the ADC as part of a new direction.

“I have accordingly tendered my resignation from the APC and completed my registration with our new party, the ADC,” Yakassai said.

He further called on his supporters and all those interested in joining the ADC to do so via the party’s website.

“Those who are interested in joining the ADC can conveniently register using their phones via this link: adcregistration.ng. Your membership card will be issued shortly after.

“We pray that Allah, in His mercy, makes this decision a good one, grants the ADC the opportunity to form government at all levels, and makes it beneficial for all Nigerians. Ameen,” he added.
