Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar Meets ADC Stakeholders in Adamawa

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday night held a closed-door meeting with key stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State.
The gathering focused on strengthening the party’s structure and positioning it for future political contests within the state.
The meeting brought together party leaders, ward coordinators, and grassroots mobilisers from different parts of Adamawa.
It served as a platform to assess the current condition of the party and outline practical steps for expansion and consolidation.
During the engagement, Atiku stressed the need for a well-organised party system. He said political success depends largely on strong internal coordination and active participation from members at all levels.
According to him, challenges such as weak mobilisation and low engagement can be addressed through deliberate planning and inclusive leadership.
“We reviewed the current state of our party, particularly regarding the ongoing registration of members and mobilisation efforts. “We are confident about where we stand now and enthusiastic about prospects,” he wrote on X on Friday.
He explained that building a viable political platform goes beyond increasing membership figures. Atiku noted that the focus should also be on creating structures that promote accountability and give members a sense of belonging.
Moreover, He added that a connected membership base would help drive the party’s long-term goals.
The former vice president also urged stakeholders to intensify grassroots engagement. He encouraged them to expand their reach across communities and bring more young people into the party. He said consistent interaction with residents would help deepen trust and strengthen the ADC’s presence across Adamawa.
