“Our goal is to ensure Made in Nigeria is synonymous with world-class” – VP Shettima

Vice President Kashim Shettima has said that the current administration led by President Bola Tinubu is focused on ensuring that goods and skills exported from the country meet global standards.
Shettima, speaking as the chair of the 8th National Council on Skills (NCS) meeting at the Presidential Villa, charged members of the Council to ensure that Made-in-Nigeria products and services remain synonymous with world-class standards.
The Vice President called on the council to leverage the restless, innovative spirit of the Nigerian people to power the nation’s ongoing industrial revolution.
Shettima also called for intensive inputs into the encouraging skillsets among Nigerians following the inauguration of the National Working Committee for WorldSkills Nigeria.
Calling for intensive inputs into the preparations for Shanghai 2026 as the 48th WorldSkills Competition will bring together skilled young professionals from across the globe.
“Our goal is to ensure that Made in Nigeria is synonymous with world-class,” the Vice President added.
“As we leave this chamber, remember who we serve. We owe them jobs. We owe them hope. We owe them a future where their skills are their currency. The future belongs to those who prepare for it today,” Shettima said.
