“Most Ministers, Governors Don’t Have Tinubu at Heart” — APC Chieftain Reveals

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alwan Hassan, has said that many top government officials within the ruling party are not genuinely loyal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Hassan made the statement during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme on Tuesday.

He spoke on the internal dynamics of the party and the level of commitment among key political figures.

Speaking during the interview, he said, “A lot of ministers and governors in our party (APC) do not have President Tinubu at heart. They don’t like him for who he is; they want him for what he is.”

The APC stalwart explained that some politicians are only aligned with the president because of political benefits.

According to him, their support is driven by personal interests rather than true belief in Tinubu’s leadership.

He noted that this attitude has continued to affect unity within the party. He warned that such lack of sincerity could create deeper divisions if not addressed early.

Hassan also suggested that the president needs people who are genuinely committed to his vision. He stressed that loyalty should not be based on position or access to power.
