Gunmen Ambush Convoy of Zamfara Governor’s Chief of Staff [PHOTOS]

The Chief of Staff to the Zamfara State Government, Moukhtar Lugga, narrowly escaped death on Thursday evening after gunmen attacked his vehicle along the Funtua–Gusau road.

The ambush reportedly occurred around 6:16 pm near Kucheri, when armed assailants surrounded Lugga’s vehicle and opened fire from multiple directions in a coordinated assault, according to a local Zamfara radio station.

Fortunately, neither Lugga nor his driver was hit. Sources said the driver managed to steer the vehicle away from the scene, enabling them to escape unharmed.

A bullet hole was later observed on the vehicle’s front windscreen. Security agencies had not issued an official statement regarding the incident at the time of filing this report.
