Sanwo-Olu, wife visit Tinubu for Easter celebration [PHOTOS]

In commemoration of the 2026 Easter celebration, the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu visited President Bola Tinubu at his Ikoyi residence in Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu visited the president alongside his wife Ibijoke on Sunday, April 5, 2026.
The governor and his wife also met with Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu during the visit to the president’s Lagos home.

In a post made on X, shortly after the visit, Sanwo-Olu said he was with the president to share the spirit of Easter with the number one family.

He wrote, “Together with my wife, Ibijoke, I paid a visit to His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu to share the spirit of the season and extend our good wishes.”

Sanwo-Olu’s message was posted alongside photographs taken with his wife, the president and the First Lady during the visit.
Prior to the visit, the governor had joined worshippers at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina for the Easter service.
According to him, the season is a time to reflect on the faith and the sacrifice Christ made for mankind.
He said, “I joined fellow worshippers at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina for the Easter service.
“Today is a time to reflect on the faith, sacrifice and hope that Easter brings. Coming together in unity reminds us of the strength we draw from our church community. Happy Easter!” Sanwo-Olu noted.
