Former Kano Governor, Shekarau Holds Closed-door Meeting with Tinubu in Lagos [PHOTOS]

Former Governor of Kano State, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, on Monday held a private meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos.

The meeting took place behind closed doors as the President continues his Easter break in the city.

It drew attention in political circles, especially in Kano and beyond, where talks of early alignments ahead of the 2027 elections are already gaining ground.

Details of what was discussed were not made public. However, the timing of the visit has raised eyebrows. Observers believe it may not be unconnected to ongoing political consultations in Kano State and within the wider northern bloc.

Shekarau’s meeting with Tinubu comes shortly after he also met privately with the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.
