Chance to Build Purposeful Career – Edo Gov Begs Youths to Join Nigerian Army

Governor Monday Okpebholo has urged eligible youths in Edo State to seize the opportunity presented by the ongoing Nigerian Army 91st Regular Recruits Intake by applying to join the Army.

The call was made in a statement released on Tuesday in Benin by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Dr Patrick Ebojele.

The statement highlighted that the announcement follows a scheduled visit by the Nigerian Army sensitisation team to Edo State from April 8 to April 14, aimed at guiding and supporting prospective applicants through the recruitment process.

Governor Okpebholo encouraged qualified young men and women across the state to participate, noting that the exercise provides a pathway to meaningful employment, national service, and personal development.

He said, “I urge Edo youths to come forward in large numbers to boost the state’s participation and meet its national quota in the Army recruitment exercise.

“This is a chance for young Edo people to build disciplined and purposeful careers.”

The governor also called on parents, guardians, traditional rulers, community leaders, religious institutions, and youth organisations to mobilise and encourage eligible candidates within their communities to take part.

He advised interested applicants to visit the official Nigerian Army recruitment portal for full details on eligibility, requirements, and application procedures, stressing the importance of ensuring that all necessary documents are complete before visiting designated sensitisation centres during the stated period.

“The Edo State Government remains committed to creating opportunities for youths and calls for collective support to ensure the success of this exercise,” Governor Okpebholo concluded.
