Fraud: EFCC reacts to report declaring Emmanuel ‘Mr Sabinus’ Ejekwu wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reacted to a post claiming that comedian and skit maker, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu has been declared wanted.

The commission debunked the report which Ejekwu, popularly known as Sabinus, Mr Funny or Mr Investor for his series of investment skits was declared wanted for fraudulent activities.

On Thursday, an X user with the handle, @DirectorKem had posted that Sabinus has been into fraudulent activities to retain his wealth.

According to the X user in the post tagged “Breaking”, the EFCC also placed a N2 million bounty on the comedian.

He wrote, “Breaking: EFCC has placed a bounty on Sabinus’ head, he has been declared wanted who ever sees him will be awarded with the sum of 2M, Go to [there] Instagram page and confirm.

“Reliable source disclosed that the comedian has been into fraudulent activities in [other] to retain his wealth,” the X user said.

However, reacting to the post EFCC described the user as a clout chaser.

The anti-graft agency, responding to the post, “Clout chaser, Stop this now!”
