2027: “I don’t see anything that can stop Tinubu’s re-election” – Abdulmumin Jibrin

A former member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin has said that he is convinced Bola Tinubu would win his re-election bid in 2027.

Jibrin who is currently a member of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) and an ardent supporter of Rabiu Kwankwaso – a former governor of Kano State said this during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

He said he does not seem to see anything that would stop the president from winning the 2027 presidential election.

He said, “Again, I believe, I don’t see anything that can stop him (President Tinubu) from winning the election in 2027. I am not God, I said, again, I believe. So who do I believe in? God.

“I did not say I am saying, I said, I believe. Maybe because we started the conversation from top to bottom. But there’s no two ways about it, I am a Tinubu person and I said I believe.” Jibrin stated.

Further responding to questions of how he functions as a Tinubu supporter while still maintaining his membership with NNPP and not the ruling All Progressives Congress, he said his relationship with the president is mutual.

“Call it anything you want to but I am a Tinubu person. I like him and he likes me. I think it’s also very important, even in a working environment, it is very important that you have a boss who likes you and you like him.

“So, that’s the point, irrespective of party affiliation, it’s been a great relationship,” the former lawmaker stated.

When asked whether he would choose a Bola Tinubu rather than Rabiu Kwankwaso as president, Jibrin said, “No, no, no, I will choose Bola Tinubu and Kwankwaso to work together because I actually believe that the South should finish its term.”
