Deji Adeyanju, a lawyer and activist, has described Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party, as Atiku Abubakar’s greatest nemesis.
Adeyanju, in a post on X, said Obi is the weapon fashioned against the former vice president and two-time presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to the lawyer, Obi prevented Atiku from winning the last election, and he is set to toe the same path in the 2027 presidential poll.
He wrote, “Obi is the weapon fashioned against Atiku.
“He stopped him from becoming president in the last election and will do it again in 2027,” Adeyanju added.
Recall that in 2019, Atiku contested the presidential election alongside Peter Obi as his running mate.
They lost the poll to the then-incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
However, during the buildup of the party primaries ahead of the 2023 election, Obi decamped from the PDP to join the Labour Party.
As a member of the Labour Party, the former Anambra State governor secured the party’s ticket to contest the 2023 presidential election, where he slugged it out with Bola Tinubu, Atiku and Rabiu Kwankwaso among many other candidates.
