PHOTOS: Inside Sanusi’s new apartment after banishment from Kano Emirate

Pictures of the new residence of the deposed Kano Emir, Muhammed Sanusi, have been obtained by POLITICS NIGERIA.

This paper recalls how Sanusi, also a former Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, was dethroned and replaced with his in-law, Ado Bayero.

The Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, accused him of insubordination, an allegation that prompted the dethronement of Monday.

The deposed monarch was also banished from Kano and sent on exile to Nasarawa state. This, according to legal experts, a violation human rights.

Meanwhile, Deji Adeyanju, a human rights campaigner shared the pictures of Sanusi’s  new residence in Nasarawa.

The images were posted on Twitter with the caption: “This is the prison they are keeping deposed Emir of kano -SLS at Awe Local government, Nassarawa State. These people are beyond horrible. Mr. President, put a stop to this unlawful & unconstitutional act immediately.”

Nevertheless, Nigerians on social media, have clamoured that the erstwhile Emir be given fair treatment as required by the Nigerian constitution.
