Ekiti election: APC appoints Gov Uba Sani as campaign council chairman

All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state, as chairman of its campaign council for the forthcoming Ekiti governorship election.

The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated April 24, 2026, signed by Ajibola Basiru, national secretary of the party, on behalf of the national working committee.

The party said Sani’s selection was based on his “distinguished leadership, political experience, and commitment” to the APC.

It expressed confidence that under his leadership, the campaign would be effectively coordinated to secure victory at the poll.

The APC also invited Sani to attend the official flag-off rally of the governorship campaign scheduled for April 27, 2026.

The rally is expected to hold at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion by 11am. The party said Sani’s presence would energise supporters and set the tone for the campaign ahead of the election.
