APC south-south executive, Blessing Agbomhere, announces Edo gubernatorial ambition

Blessing Agbomhere, a zonal executive member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the south-south region, has officially thrown his hat into the ring for the upcoming Edo governorship election in 2024.

Addressing supporters at Fugar, Ward 1, in Etsako Central LGA of the state, Agbomhere pledged to tackle the prevalent issues of “massive poverty and unemployment” in Edo should he secure the APC ticket and emerge victorious in the election.

Expressing his deep concern for the state’s socio-economic condition, Agbomhere emphasized his genuine passion to uplift Edo from what he termed as a state of “hopelessness and deprivation” to a position of commendable economic prosperity.

In his address, he attributed the state’s challenges to what he described as the “corrupt, disorganized, and purposeless leadership” of the current administration under Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Agbomhere highlighted the dire need for innovative and purpose-driven leadership in the state, stressing the necessity to move away from what he termed the “uncoordinated and vision-less” governance provided by the present leadership over the past seven and a half years.

He urged the people of Edo to reject any aspirant lacking the capacity to provide effective leadership and solutions to the state’s prevailing issues.
