Bandits kidnap father and 3 daughters in Zamfara, demand N100 million ransom from family

Bandits have abducted one Alhaji Sabiu Abdulkadir and his three daughters, Hadiza, Fateema, and Aisha, from their residence in Damba quarters, Gusau, Zamfara State.

The kidnappers, who invaded the area last Tuesday, contacted the family on Saturday, demanding a ransom of N100 million for the release of the captives.

The family say they have been working on raising the money, with reports suggesting negotiations with the bandits.

A resident of the community, who simply identified himself as Aliyu, told Sahara Reporters on Monday that the terrorists contacted Alhaji Sabiu’s family on Saturday and demanded a ransom of N100 million to free the captives.

“The family only listen to their voices on the phone. Nobody knows their exact location since the day they were abducted. The money they demanded is much – N100million.

“But I heard the family has been working on how to raise the money and maybe to beg the bandits to reduce the price,” Aliyu said.
