BREAKING: NDC Zones 2027 Presidential Ticket to South for Single Term
The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has zoned its 2027 presidential ticket to Southern Nigeria for a single four-year term.
The motion was moved by the lawmaker representing Ogbaru Constituency of Anambra State in the 10th National Assembly, Afam Victor Ogene, during the party’s maiden National Convention and was subsequently adopted by delegates.
Delegates also resolved that after the completion of the single four-year tenure, the party’s presidential ticket would automatically return to Northern Nigeria.
The decision has effectively opened the door for former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, and other southern aspirants to contest for the party’s presidential ticket.
