Fubara Finally Breaks Silence After Walking Out of APC Screening Venue

Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, on Sunday kept silent after appearing before the screening committee of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The governor declined to speak with journalists after completing the screening exercise at the Plateau State Governors’ Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.
Fubara was seen leaving the venue shortly after the exercise ended. Reporters attempted to ask him questions about the screening and his appearance before the committee, but the Rivers governor refused to entertain any comments.
Responding briefly while walking away, he simply said, “No comment.”
The screening exercise was organised for APC governors seeking re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Fubara had arrived earlier at the venue amid tight security and was received by party officials before proceeding into the meeting hall where the exercise was conducted.
The screening committee was chaired by the National Chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.
Although details of the screening session were not disclosed, party insiders said the exercise focused on party loyalty, governance records and preparedness for the next election.
