Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday visited the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.
Wike paid the APC chairman a private visit at his residence in Abuja.

Details of their closed-door meeting are yet to be made public, however, political analysts have described the engagement as cordial, coming amid ongoing political realignments in Rivers State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Though a prominent leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Wike has maintained a strong working relationship with the ruling APC, particularly since he was appointed a minister in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Also, Yilwatda had recently declared that the APC’s doors remain open to all interested politicians, including the FCT minister.
Yilwatda, in his remark said Wike is “free to join the APC anytime”, fueling speculations and possible political alignments.
