“Atiku now APC’s best campaign manager” – Adams Oshiomhole

Adams Oshiomhole, the Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, has described former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) best campaign manager.

Oshiomhole said the escalating crisis within opposition parties and their leaders will make victory in the 2027 general election easier for the APC.

The senator made the remarks during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, May 13.

Referencing Atiku’s verbal attacks on Peter Obi, Oshiomhole argued that the deepening divisions among opposition figures favour the ruling party.

“You mean that APC would be worried about which of the parties now… ADC? I saw Atiku,” he said.

“Atiku is now our best campaign manager because he is attacking Obi, and I see Obi attacking Amaechi. I see Amaechi say Obi is a regional player, Atiku is a regional player, and he [Amaechi] is the only national player, but he didn’t tell us what his ward unit looks like.”

Expressing confidence about the 2027 election, Oshiomhole said opposition leaders have failed to sell themselves and their parties to Nigerians.

“So, the opposition can have their dreams, but they will be defeated flatly because nobody believes them.

“They have to speak to the new policies that they would reverse — whether they would reverse taxation, fuel subsidy removal, student loans, or any of those bold decisions that President Tinubu has taken,” he added.
