The Management of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) is pleased to announce the inclusion of twelve additional state government-owned tertiary institutions to its student loan application portal.
The expansion follows the successful submission and verification of data from these institutions, bringing the total number of participating state-owned institutions from 36 to 48.
The announcement was made during a courtesy call on the Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, by NELFUND Managing Director, Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr, in Osogbo on Tuesday.
Mr. Sawyerr expressed gratitude to all institutions that have submitted their data and praised Governor Adeleke for his exemplary leadership.
He urged institutions that have not yet submitted their student data to the Student Verification Portal (SVS) to do so promptly to enable their students to benefit from the scheme.
He also called on states whose data has been captured to urgently sensitize their students to apply for the loan, which promises financial relief for students and guaranteed revenue for the institutions.
He added that students from the newly onboarded institutions can now visit nelf.gov.ng to apply for the loan.
