Katsina Governor Radda Hands Over to Deputy, Proceeds on Medical Leave

Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has formally transferred power to his deputy, Malam Faruq Lawal-Jobe, as he embarks on a one-month medical leave.

Radda made the disclosure while addressing a joint meeting of local government chairmen, legislators, and cabinet members at the Government House on Wednesday.

He said, “I will be proceeding for my vacation and medical check-up from Thursday until August 18.

“I have transmitted power formally to the deputy governor to act in an acting capacity for this period to ensure continuity in state governance during my absence.”

Radda urged government officials and stakeholders to extend their full cooperation and support to the acting governor, Lawal-Jobe, so as to ensure continuity in state governance during his absence.
