The Kebbi State Government has announced the immediate dissolution of all 21 local government council administrators.
A circular issued on Wednesday, signed by Acting Permanent Secretary Aliyu Hassan-Kalgo, informed the sole administrators of the decision.
The circular directed the administrators to hand over all local government affairs, including properties, to the Director of Administration of their respective councils by Thursday, July 25, 2024.
Governor Nasir Idris appreciated their contributions and wished them well in their future endeavours.
The dissolved administrators were appointed on March 6, following the expiration of the elected chairpersons’ tenure, which began on February 5, 2022.
