BREAKING: PDP Clears Goodluck Jonathan by Waiver for Presidential Primary

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) screening committee on Tuesday granted former President Goodluck Jonathan a waiver and cleared him ahead of the party’s presidential primary.

This was disclosed in Abuja after the screening exercise by former Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu, a member of the Tanimu Turaki-led PDP National Working Committee presidential and gubernatorial screening committee.

According to earlier reports, a faction of the PDP, backed by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, had earlier announced that Jonathan would be screened as a presidential aspirant on Tuesday.

However, ahead of the exercise, Jonathan, who was expected to submit his nomination form on Monday did not appear for the screening.
