Another Coronavirus (COVID-19) death has been recorded by the Lagos State government, bringing the total number of deaths in the state to 19.
The State Ministry of Health made this known via Its Twitter page on Saturday afternoon.
It wrote: “10 more #COVID19Lagos patients; 3 females & 7 males including 3 foreign nationals – 2 Indians &1Filipino were discharged after full recovery & testing negative twice consecutively.
“With this, the number of patients successfully managed & discharged in Lagos now 117.
“1 #COVID19 death was recorded, bringing the total number of #COVID19 related deaths in Lagos to 19”

POLITICS NIGERIA had earlier reported that the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) had announced that 80 new cases of the Coronavirus were confirmed in the state on Friday.
The health agency said the epicenter of the disease in the country recorded the new cases out of 114 new cases in the country. It added that Gombe recorded 21, while the FCT has five.
The NCDC added that two cases each were recorded in Zamfara and Edo, while Ogun, Oyo, Kaduna and Sokoto have one case each.
It noted that the country’s total cases now stand at 1,095, out of which 208 cases have been discharged while 32 deaths have been recorded.
