Kano Government confirms 74 new cases of coronavirus

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state has announced that 74 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the state.

The governor disclosed this during a press briefing on COVID-19 pandemic on Saturday.

He said the state government has taken 489 samples and 74 of the samples tested positive for the dreaded virus.

“We’ve taken samples of 489 people, out of these number 74 were confirmed positive for the virus,” he said.

This is coming hours after a Regional Manager with First Bank Nigeria, Abdullahi Lawal, died of Coronavirus in the state.

POLITICS NIGERIA learned that the bank has closed the regional branch as a result of his death.

“He was rushed to a private clinic after he suffered high fever, intermittent cough, and respiratory hiccups without getting medical care before he gave up the ghost.

“He was feeling well on Friday and was first put on admission at a private clinic in Kano from where he was referred to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital,” a source told our correspondent.

Look, they said covid 19, is real,I believe it is, but why did the medical expert (NCDC) refused to answer a call from patient that have sign similar to Corona viruses,I have listened to a Radio news in Kano, that a patient called the number, but they fails to answered the call one from Dan-dinshe quarters and the other one is from Badawa quarters, and they all died, so please the government, either federal or state has to do more to bring safety to the community, Allah help us all, ameen
