The Plateau State Government has announced a further relaxation of the curfew imposed on the Jos-Bukuru metropolis, reflecting the recent improvements in the security situation in the area.
A statement from Gyang Bere, a media aide to the governor, noted that effective from Wednesday , August 14, 2024, residents are now allowed to carry out their lawful activities between the hours of 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM daily, pending further review.
He said the decision was taken by Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, after extensive consultations with security agencies.
”The Governor expressed his deep appreciation to the people of Plateau State for their steadfast patriotism and cooperation during these challenging times.
”Governor Mutfwang also commended the security personnel for their dedication and professionalism in enforcing the curfew. He called on all residents to continue their collaboration with security agencies to ensure the ongoing safety and security of lives and property,” the statement added.
