JUST IN: “Remove My Name From Your Records” – Fubara’s Commissioner Dumps APC

Rivers State Commissioner for Youths, Hon. Chisom Gbali, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress, APC, in a move that has further stirred political discussions in the state.

Gbali announced his exit from the ruling party in a resignation letter dated May 13 and addressed to the APC chairman of Ward 1 in Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The commissioner said his decision followed what he described as careful reflection and personal consideration. He, however, did not state any specific reason behind his departure from the party.

Part of the letter read, “I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the leadership and members of the party for opportunities, relationship and experiences I gained during my time as a member of the party.

“I kindly request that my name be removed from the party’s membership records and registers accordingly.”

Gbali’s resignation became public barely hours after Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, reportedly pulled out of the APC governorship primary, a development that has continued to fuel speculations over the political direction of key figures within the state.

Gbali, who currently serves in Fubara’s cabinet as Commissioner for Youths, is regarded as one of the notable political figures from Oyigbo area.

So far, the APC leadership in Rivers State has yet to officially react to the commissioner’s resignation.
