2027: ADC Commences Governorship Primaries in Rivers

The Rivers State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has commenced its governorship primary election across the state.

The exercise, which is being held in all 319 wards of Rivers State on Friday, is being conducted using the Option A4 voting system.

Members of the party’s National Election Committee are also on ground to supervise the process.

Earlier in the day, governorship aspirants held a meeting ahead of the exercise, during which two of the seven candidates stepped down in support of Gabriel Pidomson, a former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly and ex-Secretary to the State Government.

One of those who withdrew from the race is Henry Ugboma.

The remaining aspirants in the contest include Sokonte Davies, Farah Dagogo, Leloonu Nwibubasa, and Allen Hart.
