Former Presidential Candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has added his voice to the condemnation that has continued to trail the arrest of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) president, Comrade Joe Ajaero, and the subsequent invasion of the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP)’s office by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The DSS operatives had earlier arrested Comrade Ajaero at the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport in Abuja while he was on his way to the United Kingdom.
The secret police also invaded the Abuja office of the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) demanding to see its directors.
Taking to his official X handle on Monday, Sowore said the new DSS has resumed work for their uncle, President Bola Tinubu.
The Sahara Reporters publisher also accused the government of President Tinubu of fascism, adding that it must be stopped.
He wrote, “The new DSS has resumed work for his uncle Bola, as Operatives Storm @SERAPNigeria Office In Abuja, Demand To See Their Directors!
Fascism of @officialABAT must be stopped NOW.”
Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, political ideology and movement characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.
