JUST IN: Major Blow As Troops Kill Top Boko Haram Commander

A top commander of the Boko Haram terrorist sect, Ibn Kasir and two other fighters have been killed by Nigerian Army troops of OPHK Kai.

The terrorists were killed in the early hours of today, September 12, 2024 when the troops conducted a raid at Sambisa Forest.

This was disclosed in a post by a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama and posted on his X handle on Thursday.

Zagazola, reputed for receiving credible security news on military offensive in the region, said he got the information from intelligence sources.

According to him, acting on credible intelligence, soldiers from the 21 Brigade, in conjunction with Hybrid forces, launched the swift and successful operation in Kashomeri village.

He wrote, “Ibn Kasir, notorious for terrorizing the Geizuwa and Yale axis, had attempted to seek refuge with his family in Kashomeri.

“However, his hideout was identified, and he was neutralized alongside two of his lieutenants with one identified as Bulamadu. The operation occurred while his men were away on an assignment in Jalumeri.

“The neutralization of Ibn Kasir is a significant blow to the Boko Haram terrorists group.”

His statement said troops rescued four women and children while some families members of the terrorists surrendered at konduga.
