Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has prophesied that the People Democratic Party (PDP) will soon lose one of its governors to another party.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele stated that the current chairman, Umar Damagum, is leading the party toward failure, predicting that the PDP could perish before the 2027 elections.
Describing the PDP’s current status as a “mortuary,” Ayodele stated that only David Mark or Gabriel Suswam have the potential to rescue the party from its dire situation.
His words: “With Damagum as the party chairman, the party cannot succeed. They should choose between Gabriel Suswam and David Mark; either can withstand the pressure from any political party and work diligently to revive the PDP.”
To ensure the party’s survival, Ayodele advised the PDP to establish a reconciliation committee, stressing that significant efforts are needed for the party to endure until 2027.
He also called for a potential merger between the PDP and Labour Party to demonstrate seriousness in their political endeavours, noting that the APC has even attacked the Labour Party spiritually.
“The party should also have a reconciliation committee if they want to move forward. They can do a lot to survive so that the party will not die. PDP has much work ahead of 2027 and should consider merging with the Labour Party to show seriousness,” Ayodele concluded.
