A founder of the African Action Congress and former presidential candidate in Nigeria, Omoyele Sowore has joined the #FearlessInOctober protesters in Lagos State.
The protesters had on October 1, gathered at the Ikeja underbridge area at about 8.50 am.
In the numbers, the protesters are demanding that the Nigerian government implement measures and policies that could ameliorate the pains and sufferings experienced by citizens.
Joined by the protesters, Sowore is one of the organisers of the protest despite having received warnings from key security agencies against leading the campaign.
Despite the warnings by the Department of State Security, against the October 1, protest and to its organisers, Sowore jumped on a plane and arrived in Nigeria from the United States of America remaining adamant about his decision.
The same protest is currently going on in some cities of the nation including Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
Also there are heavy security presence in the cities where these protests are ongoing.
