Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, has categorically denied any association with the controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.
In an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Falana clarified that he has never dealt with Bobrisky and revealed that his son, Folarin Falana, also known as Falz, had spoken with Bobrisky in a brief phone conversation.
Falana detailed that Bobrisky, currently in legal trouble, had allegedly contacted Falz on May 4 to seek assistance in moving into the VIP section of the prison.
“My son asked him, ‘Are you calling under the authorization of the superintendent of prisons?’ to which Bobrisky responded negatively,” Falana recounted.
Falz reportedly refused to assist in the request, warning Bobrisky to follow proper channels if he contacted him again.
VeryDarkMan apologises for false claims against Falana
The issue stemmed from allegations made by a blogger, Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, who accused Falana of soliciting a presidential pardon for Bobrisky in exchange for N10 million.
Otse has since apologised during a House of Representatives hearing, retracting his claims.
Falana emphasized that he has helped 280 convicted individuals without ever demanding payment, rejecting the blogger’s defamatory claims.
