BREAKING: Concern as National Grid Collapses Again

Millions of Nigerians have been plunged into darkness as the national electricity grid collapsed again, marking the eighth time this year.

Although no reason is yet to be attributed to this latest incident, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) had earlier said the frequent grid collapses are due to a compounded problem involving stakeholders in the power sector.

Nafisat Ali, TCN’s Independent System Operator (ISO) executive director, made this revelation during a Senate committee hearing in April.

As of 9:00 AM, all distribution companies are reporting zero megawatts:

1. Abuja Disco: 0 Megawatt
2. Benin Disco: 0 MW
3. Eko Disco: 0 MW
4. Enugu Disco: 0 MW
5. Ibadan Disco: 0 MW
6. Ikeja Disco: 0 MW
7. Jos Disco:  0 MW
8. Kaduna Disco: 0 MW
9. Kano Disco: 0 MW
10. Port Harcourt Disco: 0 MW
