No Evidence Yet — ADC Reacts to Hayatu-Deen’s Rigging Allegation

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has responded to allegations of rigging raised by one of its presidential aspirants, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, saying the party has no evidence yet to either confirm or dismiss the claims.

Speaking in an interview, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the party was still awaiting results from several states and had not observed any clear pattern suggesting irregularities.

An earlier report by Politics Nigeria stated that Hayatu-Deen had announced that he would boycott the announcement of the party’s presidential primary results over alleged widespread irregularities during the exercise.

Reacting to the allegation, Abdullahi said, “We don’t have any evidence to support or deny his position because we have not yet collated the results.

“We have not noticed any pattern in the results, and we have not seen enough to establish any pattern.

“Results from 11 states have been received so far, while we are still expecting others. Collation will begin any moment from now.”
