French President Emmanuel Macron has formally welcomed Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with a ceremony at the historic Invalides military complex in Paris.
The event marked the start of Tinubu’s two-day state visit to France, aimed at deepening bilateral ties between the two nations.
The leaders arrived at the Foyer of the National Des Invalides, home to a renowned military museum, where a military parade was held in Tinubu’s honour.
The meeting sets the stage for high-level discussions and collaborative agreements.
Governors of Lagos, Katsina, Ogun, Enugu, Kwara and Benue are part of Tinubu’s delegation.
Also in the entourage of the president are the ministers of health, defence, FCT, communications, tourism, works, finance, among others.
