The District Head of Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area and the Dan’iya of Kano, Alhaji Yusuf Bayero, is dead.
POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that the monarch died on Saturday night in Kano at the age of 87. Bayero will be buried this morning according to Islamic rites.
Bayero was the first district head of Ajingi Local Government area in the history of Kano state.
The monarch’s death comes amidst the series of deaths that have been recorded in the Nothern state. Many prominent Kano indigenes have lost their lives within the space of one month.
Prominent personalities that have died in the state include the Emir of Rano and renowned professors.
