JUST IN: House Of Representatives Pass 2025 N54.99 Trillion Budget

On Thursday, February 13, members of the House of Representatives passed the N54.99 trillion 2025 Appropriation Bill.

The bill was passed during the plenary on Thursday.

According to the presidency, the 2025 bill has been planned with the aim to address major financial committments in the country.

Details of the budget show that N3.65 trillion accounts statutory transfers for constitutionally mandated entities while M14.32 has been earmarked for debt servicing and other fiscal committments.

In addition to this, N13.64 trillion would be for recurrent expenditures, salaries, overheads and other government financial activities while N23.963 trillion has been budgeted capital projects.

Just last week, the 2025 budget was increased by President Bola Tinubu from N49.7 trillion to N54.2 trillion.
