BREAKING: ‘I’ve Endured Enough’ – Aisha Yesufu Blows Hot at NDC Secretariat [VIDEO]

A video has surfaced on social media showing activist Aisha Yesufu at the secretariat of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) expressing frustration over the internal workings of the party.

Her outburst follows her inability to secure the NDC senatorial ticket for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) ahead of the 2027 elections.

“If the National Secretary did not have what it took to vote for every local government, then he shouldn’t have put out a statement to the world that he was going to do that,” Yesufu said Addressing party officials in the video.

She continued: “If we do something, we must stand by our word. It is official, it is outside, it is on our official channels. And so therefore, I, Aisha Yesufu, will not provide venue for anybody. Who provides the venue?

“I’m not even asking for a level playing ground. I’m asking for the ground. I was told repeatedly that I came in late to this party. Who does that? As I endured a lot in the last how many days. My name has been dragged all over.”

Yesufu had declared her intention to contest the FCT Senate seat on May 6 after joining the NDC from the African Democratic Congress (ADC). However, on May 29, she announced that the party would not be conducting primaries for the seat, effectively ending her bid.

In a detailed follow-up statement, she clarified that she did not withdraw from the race, asserting instead that the entire process was heavily manipulated against her.

She said: “What was billed as a primary was, in truth, a predetermined outcome dressed in procedural formalities. The primaries were repeatedly postponed. Venues were changed at the last minute. Guidelines of the party were not followed.

“Delegate based process was introduced to be conducted at a central location instead of the direct primaries to be conducted at Local Government headquarters.

“When the moment came, the contest was not decided by delegates in the open; it was affirmed in a closed room, away from the people whose voices it was supposed to reflect.

“The party will indeed go on to release statements upon statements about the free and fair nature of the Abuja FCT primaries.

“They are entitled to their voice, but the facts that transpired when litigated by conscience and the guidelines of the electoral act do not reflect justice and fairness.”

The fallout immediately drew reactions from the public, notably the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, who traded words with the activist over her primary loss.

Speaking on Saturday at a luncheon for candidates of the Rainbow Coalition in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Wike mocked Yesufu, stating that for all her public commentary, she could not win an “ordinary” primary election in the FCT.

His words: “There’s one woman who said Wike is an appointee of government and that she has no business with appointees. You speak grammar, speak grammar. Ordinary primary of NDC, not APC or PDP, just ordinary NDC, what happened? She didn’t make it.

“It’s easy for people to talk. When they enter into those media houses, they begin to churn out data from nowhere. Now, the time for data has come. What happened? ‘Fa fa fa foul. It didn’t work. If e didn’t dey? E didn’t dey.”

While the NDC has yet to release the official results of its primaries, the video has sparked widespread reactions online, with many social media users similarly mocking the activist over her inability to clinch the ticket.
