Despite Supreme Court’s Decision, Fubara Lines Up 10 Projects For Commissioning [FULL LIST]

Despite the decision of the Supreme Court to recognise Martins Amaewhule as the rightful Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has lined up projects for commissioning across the state.

The governor said the projects, all at the completion level, are set for commissioning beginning from Monday, March 3.

This was contained in a statement issued by Warisenibo Joe, River state’s commissioner for information and communication barely 24 hours after the court’s decision.

Joe said, “Over the course of ten days, critical infrastructural projects spanning multiple sectors will be inaugurated, reflecting the administration’s unwavering commitment to development, security, and improved service delivery.

*This commissioning schedule encompasses key projects in housing, firefighting and emergency response, security, healthcare, education, and judiciary welfare across Port Harcourt City, Obio/Akpor, Khana, Okrika LGAs and Bayelsa State,” he stated.

Below is a list of projects slated by the state government for commissioning:

1 Government House Staff Quarters

2 State fire service headquarters and firefighting vehicles

3 Handing over of helicopter to the Nigerian Air Force

4 Borokiri Fire Service Station and firefighting vehicles

5 Construction and furnishing of the Palace and Residence of Akpor Monarch

6 Judges’ Quarters

7 Bori General Hospital

8 Okrika Grammar School, Okrika

9 Furnishing, equipping & electrification of the Nigerian Law School, Yenagoa Campus

10 Rumuodonmaya Fire Service Station and Firefighting Vehicles (Obio/Akpor LGA)
