The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio has recounted his ordeal he faced on the eve of the wedding ceremony between the Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti and her husband Emmanuel Uduaghan.

Akpabio while speaking at the plenary of the Nigerian Senate shortly before Akopti-Uduaghan’s suspension on Thursday, March 6, said he slept inside the Dangote Cement factory in Obajana Kogi State on the eve of the wedding.

A former minister of Niger Delta, Akpabio said he is making this public for people to understand the closeness both family shared.

He said, “I slept in Dangote cement factory in Obajana, Kogi State on the night of Senator Natasha’s wedding because the Kogi airport lights were in a poor state.

Recall that Akpoti-Uduaghan had accused the Senate of sexual harassment and undermining her efforts to represent her people in the Senate.
