Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state has approved the extension of the 8pm to 6am curfew in the state by two weeks.
The governor had imposed the curfew last week in order to contain the spread of the deadly Coronavirus in the state.
As of the time of filing this report, Edo state has recorded seventy-nine cases of the infection.
“I have approved the extension of the 8pm to 6am curfew in the state for another 14 days, effective from May 13, 2020.
“We are taking this step to ensure that we contain the spread of #COVID19 and protect our people,” he wrote on Twitter on Tuesday evening.
