Angry Nasarawa Residents Burn Gov Sule’s 2027 Campaign Posters [VIDEO]

Tension erupted in Kofan Kaura, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, on Friday as residents publicly burnt campaign posters of Governor Abdullahi Sule ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The aggrieved residents were also seen setting ablaze flags of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and bundles of brooms, the party’s official symbol.
A video circulating online captured the protest, with accompanying inscriptions reading: “We reject rigging” and “We reject imposition.”
Governor Sule’s senatorial ambition has continued to generate reactions following his decision to contest for the Nasarawa North Senate seat in 2027.
According to reports, the governor had previously stated during a national television interview that he would not seek any elective position after completing his tenure as governor.
Currently serving his second and final term, Sule later entered the race for the Nasarawa North senatorial seat and emerged winner of the APC primary election, polling 47,393 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Silas Agara, who secured 2,915 votes.
