The new Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, has arrived the Presidential Villa, Abuja, POLITICS NIGERIA can confirm.
Gambari arrived at about 10:53 am and was welcomed by the State House Permanent Secretary, Mr Tijani Umar, and some senior presidency directors.
Before gaining entrance to the main building, Mr Gambari was screened for COVID–19. His temperature was also checked and was asked to use a hand sanitizer.
This paper reported on Tuesday that the former Minister of External Affairs had been appointed as the new Chief of Staff to the President and would replace the late Abba Kyari, who died of COVID-19 complications.
Meanwhile, as of the time of filing this report, the Presidency is yet to affirm or deny reports of Gambari’s appointment.
