APC Ignores Ozigbo’s Claims, Approves Anambra Guber Primary Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the result of its governorship primary election in Anambra State, despite complaints from one of the top contenders, Valentine Ozigbo.

On Wednesday, the APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) accepted the report submitted by the party’s Primary Election Committee, led by the Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Otu.

According to a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the committee declared Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu the winner of the primary with 1,455 votes.

The APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, praised the committee for what he described as a fair and transparent process. He also handed the party’s Certificate of Return to Ukachukwu and urged all party members, including other aspirants, to unite behind the candidate.

Dr. Ganduje said the party must work together to win the Anambra State governorship election on November 8, 2025.

It can be recalled that Ozigbo had rejected the outcome which he described as a charade. He had on Tuesday submitted a petition to the APC Appeals Committee, accusing the process of being manipulated and “a well-orchestrated heist designed to deliver a predetermined outcome.”
