A former Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has called on Nigerians to embrace unity as the world celebrates the resurrection of Christ.
Lawan also called on Nigerians to use the opportunity presented by the death and resurrection of Christ to pray for President Bola Tinibu.
Celebrating the Easter season with Christians across the country, Lawan urged citizens to desist from actions that are divisionary and imbibe the spirit of sacrifice and faith.
“During this season, let us also remember to pray for our President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and all our leaders. May God grant them wisdom, discernment, and strength to lead our nation with integrity and compassion.
“May He guide them to make decisions that will benefit all Nigerians, and empower them to work tirelessly for the common good as instruments of unity and progress,” the lawmaker representing Yobe North senatorial district said.
Lawan said as Christ overcame adversity, Nigeria too has faced numerous challenges.
He said, “Yet, through our collective strength and strong belief in a brighter future, we have consistently persevered. Let us renew our commitment to building a stronger, more united, and prosperous Nigeria for all.
“Let us embrace our diversity as a source of strength, fostering understanding and harmony among all ethnic and religious groups,” Lawan said.
He also called on Nigerians to allow the spirit of Easter to inspire them to become better citizens who are compassionate and committed to nation-building among others.
MAY GOD ALMIGHTY HELP OUR COUNTY NIGERIA.
