‘Opt out legally’, Wike’s aide mocks Fubara over remarks on returning as governor

Lere Olayinka, an aide to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has mocked Siminalayi Fubara over his comment about returning as the governor of Rivers State.

Olayinka urged the governor to do well by opting out as the state’s governor legally.

Recall that Fubara had during the service of songs for the late Edwin Clark cautioned leaders of the state and his supporters against calling for his reinstatement as governor.

The suspended governor said, “Are You Sure I Even Want To Go Back To The Office Again? My Spirit Has Left There Since.”

Reacting to this, Olayinka in a post on X said, it is not compulsory for anyone to remain in a situation he is not interested in.

He wrote, “It is not really compulsory to stay in a marriage your spirit already left.

“Simply opt out legally,” Olayinka suggested to Fubara.
